8 Day Challenge

Happy belated 4th of July!!

I am about to jump start my metabolism by beginning another 8 day challenge.  It has been about 2-3 weeks since my last 8 day challenge and I have put a few pounds back on.  I am not at all happy with that, but with the holiday and all the barbecues, it was almost inevitable.  So, I am gearing up to begin my challenge on Sunday.  I plan to blog each day to keep you informed on what I'm eating, how I'm feeling and to share my successes with you.  I hope you tune in for details!!

If you are interested in how you can get started on your own 8 day challenge to lose 5-15 pounds in 8 days, fill in the contact form on the right and I will help you get started.

This is what happened during my first 8 day challenge:

In order to prepare for another challenge I will be heading to the grocery store and I am going to list the essentials here just in case any of you decide to do this with me, you will have a place to come to see what I buy!!

  • unsweetened almond milk (I prefer the original or coconut flavor)
  • turkey breast (cooked in oven or crockpot)
  • lean steak (or lean ground sirloin)
  • ground turkey for turkey burgers
  • shrimp
  • fish (I prefer tilapia, but any fish will do)
  • eggs
  • Mrs. Dash seasonings (fiesta lime is great on fish)
  • low carb, whole wheat wraps or bread
  • lettuce
  • avocados
  • lemons
  • hummus
  • vegetables (I usually just stick to celery, cucumbers and zucchini because they are easy)
  • decaf tea (preferably green tea)
  • water (lots of it, you will drink half your body weight in water)
  • greek yogurt (carbmaster; without a lot of sugar)
  • low fat cottage cheese
  • low fat cheese
  • fruit (berries are great, but I also buy some small apples as well)
I am sure I probably forgot some things, but this is the essentials.  Your diet will be mostly lean proteins because we want to level off you blood sugar levels and teach your body how to burn fat instead of store fat!!!

If you click on the tab at the top of the page, it will take you to a website where you can watch 3 short videos to learn more!

I look forward to hearing from you..
